Join the Trustees of the Cuckoo Colored School and the Louisa County Historical Society as we celebrate the elevation of the Cuckoo Colored School to the Virginia Landmarks Register. This community wide event will recognize the preservation of this piece of our county’s history.

Capturing the Spirit of Louisa

October 24 & 25, 2025

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Join us for a seasonal tour of Louisa’s past as we visit Louisa’s notable residents at their final resting places. On our lantern lit cemetery tour, you’ll meet a few of the fascinating characters who made Louisa into the county we know today. These tours are designed to enlighten rather than frighten and are appropriate for adults and children.
Adult ticket (18+): $20
Student ticket (17 and under): $10
